Aus and the US already have a free trade agreement, they already have a huge surplus with us, and despite the fact Trump keeps saying it US beef and chicken aren't banned, they just have to meet the required standards (which we cannot lower). What's the point of trade talks, there is nothing left to give and they slapped a tariff on Aussie goods purchased by US citizens regardless. I would just tell Trump to take a long walk off a short cliff.

I vote to cease all trade with the US. Have a nice day. We just walk away from relations with America.

Pretty simply really, Trump represents a system where businesses tell the population how their lives will be governed. It is fairly clear that the majority of Canadians disagree with this system and think that it is the business of government to control businesses!
