Its not that these poltiicans dont get it – they are aware of their schemes. However, they lost this war on property years ago. All we can hope for is the minimising the growth of house prices, but alas they are unable to find a way without a miraculous housing construction boom… Which requires a lot of foreign involvement… But that means more immigration, tax breaks for developers etc.. which is not gonna flow well for voters.
Forbid politicians in owning vast rental portfolios, no Australian land, dwellings of any shape or form to be allowed into foreign ownership.
Yes ok 5% deposit. Then they have to pay for it. What a clown
Hopefully Labour extends the Plugin Hybrid FBT Tax incentives. This will help tradespeople and transportation with cheaper vehicles and rising fuel cost.
So am I correct he siad the government will own 40 percent of your home
So he talks about 5 percent but haw but haw are they meant to keep up with payments people can not even afford rent
It’s the Moron Showdown!
Both of them does not intent to remove negative gearing. Only Australia have this concession
Negative gearing has contributed to Investors owning more than 10 properties.
5% deposit raises the floor for housing.
When you have two pick between these to its not voting its vomiting
Vote for no one
More BS from Albo he has no intention to cut immigration his government hasn’t built any houses there will never be enough houses available while trying to play catch up with constant rising immigration numbers theses governments are really not serious about helping people into a home
Greens want to stop negative gearing WHAT for ? Even if these houses came onto the market Aussies will still be competing with immigrants and we know who has more money to but them Bandt is such a hypocrite he is all for more migrants into our country so this theory is just more BS to suck the younger generation in to voting for them
These 2 Australian politicians and parties are just proposed the campaigns that support the culprit of corporates. No sincerity for their Aussie ppl at all.
Supply of housing is about the property and land corporates hold and increase its price and markets.
Dutton kept saying and playing tricks on words “young Australians” where we looked at the real problem is about your Old Corporate who ate it all.
Australia must learn from Dubai. We have big desert area that's not being utilised. Use those areas to solve housing crisis.
These are the most uninspiring leaders
Today is Anzac Day in Australia 🇦🇺 my grandfather fought this country and if he seen the state of Australia in 2025 he would be disgusted 🤢 and ashamed of these clowns 🤡 trying to run Australia 🇦🇺 shame shameful shame on these idiots everyone needs to stop voting all together. !!!!!!
Not voting for either 2 of these
I see homeless daily and families with children sleeping in parks in 40 degree heat with snakes spiders and no water.
And politicians own multiple properties
bruh I like labour but at least 9 news leaves their comments on
They both sound unmotivated
Labor and liberal are dreamers on housing and rent the young generation got shafted.i feel sorry for the young hard workers.very sad times from labour and liberal.both lefties.
Australian Dream has become daydreaming for most of the young generation.
you got be kidding me if you still hope Labor or Libs can solve the problem that both has contributed to create and highly benefit from it not being solved…. where is the minor parties policies???
Basically labor has had 3 years to fix things and all I have seen is more misery for Australians! And that says it all to me!!! So labour had its chance and wasted it! Wake up people and try one nation.
What a load of horse crap
Weak, woke and sending us broke, Anthony albanese does not speak for most Australians and has sold us out at every chance. It makes me sick to my stomach at the thought of dealing with this worm for another term
Here are my suggestions:
– Invest in infrastructure to enable fast and efficient connectivity across all parts of Sydney, despite the city’s vast distances.
– Continue building more housing to meet growing demand.
– Rather than removing negative gearing entirely, introduce a threshold. For example, if someone owns 10 properties, they should not be able to negative gear the majority of them.
– Implement policies that make it more difficult for investors to continually purchase additional properties. One idea could be increasing stamp duty progressively based on the number of properties already owned. This is just an example—not necessarily a recommendation—but some kind of deterrent is needed to prevent investors from dominating the market.
– Reduce immigration temporarily and focus on strengthening infrastructure before continuing to support high levels of migration, which can contribute to housing shortages and affordability issues.
The coalition governed for 9 of the last 12years, and now they've suddenly discovered there is a housing crisis. They helped to create it. Oh. But it's all the other parties fault. Well at least both parties are focused on this now. That's at least something.
Do not trust AA, he is a liar 😮
DO NOT VOTE MAJOR PARTY
Standing the Australia interesting, how the hell Dutton can make Australia’s economy better at the risk of the agriculture, timber, education, coal, wine, iron ore, lobster??? Tell me please
Progressive property tax system based on the number of properties owned. This would discourage people from owning multiple properties.
Both are clowns 😂
Hunger Games
What’s increasing the house prices are these bloody government taxes, who’s gonna pay half a million for an overpriced home that’s worth $150,000 comparing the pricing in the US
Both these guys are corrupt to the core the same as the last 10 prime ministers. We dont have a housing crisis we have an immigration and printing money crisis and housing is a side effect of that.
We need a donald trump for australia.
