Mmmmmm I have great empathy for those who have suffered significant property damage, downed trees, flooding et al, and huge respect for ALL the emergency service personnel responding. Crisafulli is also doing his job as he should be, especially compared to the last two imposters. But please, let’s keep this in perspective. It was a Cat2 that was downgraded to a tropical low as it moved over the coast. It was nowhere near the ferocity of those Cat 3-4-5’s experienced in the past in our northern Qld, NT, WA regions. But the media hype remains super inflated. Seriously, and god forbid how would we deal with and fare if the Chinese ever decided to invade? (What do you think their navy has recently been up to off our coast? Tourism?) Keep it in perspective people. As for the continued media beef up, and federal political posturing of the camera friendly Albot, they were all surprisingly quiet and absent as the red navy was circumnavigating and mapping our continents coastline……. This Tropical low was simply that. We should keep our community fears in check and focus on preparing for more life threatening future possibilities. Just an observation from an ex military digger with his eyes still open…..
