  1. Thats actually a giant DropSquid; they're quite common around these parts..

    But.. there are genuinely heaps of bioluminescent plankton/algae or something in the water at the moment. If you put your hands under the water and shake them a bit it disturbs them and makes them glow. Looks cool. It also makes it look like your casting a magic spell; so up and down the coast at night you can hear people saying "You're a wizard Harry!"
