  1. The media are truely pathetic! They must be fun at parties! All of a sudden they are our social conscience scorning us for driving through water, standing too close to the ocean yet they do exactly the same so as to dramatise their news!

  2. Should be reporting also on China warships near perth hanging around Australia and NZ ocean and cook islands 💜💚🌎hope all are well with alfred storm 🩷💙

  3. Mainstream media are so pathetic trying desperately to sensationalise and dramatize a weather event that is now dissipating, it must be so disappointing for them as they slip into a deep depression sitting around the newsroom twiddling their thumbs with nothing to do. Maybe they could report paint drying Which would they just as exciting and they could stretch it out overnight, so they get their overtime.

  4. News reporting has had no integrity in Australia since way back after 9/11, when they realised how much money they can make from sensationalism. As a North Queenslander with frequent cyclone and flooding risks, I can say we all knew how ridiculous the news has been on this.

  5. I had to laugh, several times over the past week reporters have gushed about "wind gusts over 100km/hr". I live in northern Tasmania and wind gusts in winter, from cold fronts frequently exceed 100 km/hr, for several months of the year.

  6. Guys you were soooo fortunate that Alfred went north of Brisbane also the water might have been cooler. Here in Florida we have hurrucanes bearing down, then as hurricanes do have done for some if us wobbled. Just 50mikes off eastern coast and that took the hurricane north of us. Brisbane was fortunate it did not power in. You chaps were lucky….
