Small Business Women Australia Chief Executive Amanda Rose claims President Donald Trump’s latest tariffs will incentivise Australian businesses to move to the US.
The US President has signed an executive order to impose a 25 per cent tariff on Canadian and Mexican imports into the US and a 10 per cent tariff on Chinese imports.
“[Businesses] have had a government, that for three years, has … suffocated the small business community,” Ms Rose said.
“So, of course they’re going to leave if there’s an opportunity to go to the US.”
