Salary’s are not high enough to goto the office full time
Terrible idea
Both sides have a lot of terrible ideas
Drain the swamp
Its about bloody time have you ever had the pleasure of trying to contact the "public services" having phone calls transferred only to be told thier so called out of the office or away from thier desk. Put simply Australia's communication system isn't well enough equipped to so called work from home which we all know is just code for ill only work when it suits me and open my computer login and look like I'm working. Oh yes I've personally witnessed this wrought and it is staggering how and what WFH people can and do easily get away with.
We.have.to.many.puublic.servants.federal..state..and..local..period..😮
We are definitely not the best country in the world
This is something i dont agree with dutton . It makes it harder for working parents .
who is he working for the people or himself and Murdoch,Dutton telling people what they Will do,dictating about this, Australia day try asking people, Dutton get your androids done we can't understand you
They should go back to work. Sick of dealing with people who aren't there

Lazy people, get your butts back to work
Petter Dutton increase my pay by 50k and I will work in office. This fella got his head buried in sand..
what's wrong with working from home if work is done!??
Good work Dutton 👍
How many public servance have 2 full time jobs in a time?
First sign of a dictator .Don't laugh , He has stated decrees before. Dutton is a corrupt politicians. Like Trump his record is out there for all to see. I remember narou island security contract . Have a look at it . Great barrier Reef contract . Have a look . Surely coloured spread sheets with your money . How about trillion dollars debt that will be two after interest. Our kids kids will pay it off after they are born and come of age . Also remember he was in the corrupt police force that designed to take over Qld. He was marching in formations of 400 . T
Working from home does not mean not being productive….or inefficiency
Why won't Double standard Dud Dutton will not apply the same laws to himself.
Maintaining flexible work arrangements, especially in Australia, where natural disasters such as wildfires, cyclones, and floods disrupt daily life. Banning remote work entirely seems counterproductive, particularly when digital infrastructure allows many government functions to continue smoothly from home.
Reasons why banning remote work is a bad idea:
1) Disaster Resilience – Natural disasters can make commuting impossible. Allowing remote work ensures government services remain operational.
2) Productivity & Efficiency – Workers are just as productive (if not more) when working remotely.
3) Public Service Continuity – Government employees can still serve citizens without putting themselves at risk.
4) Reduced Pressure on Infrastructure – Fewer commuters mean less strain on roads, public transport, and emergency response efforts during crises.
5) Employee Well-being – Forcing workers to commute in unsafe conditions is unnecessary when remote work is a viable option.
XD standard libs enjoy the bench again scott Morrison replica
Have any original policy from yourself Duddo?
Trump wannabe Dutton who looks to America's greatest con man for inspiration and his extreme right wing politics. Anyone confused looks what's happening to America as like Trump Dutton lies through his teeth is corrupt to the bone and only governs for the rich. As bad as Labor is l will take them over over the totally corrupt LNP anytime don't forget 9 years of coalition corruption culminating in the most corrupt federal government in Australian history the Morrison government and Dutton was up to his neck in corruption as home affairs minister look at the Paledin deal for starters.
Spot on great idea most of the ones working from home are doing 8 hours work per week and getting paid for 40 .
Why the hell is working from home now a political issue??
Has dutto got the PBO to cost this? That's a lot of new leases for no gain.
Fully support WFH ban why should my tax money go to public servants that lay in bed all day or are staying at their holiday house as example. As a essential worker whom is paid by the government myself doing 12hrs a day in a hospital traveling 1hr each way to save your loved ones an those WFH say it's to far to go, don't like public transport, harden up send WFHb back to the office where there trapped in a cube from 9 to 5
Working from home has consistently proven to be effective, with extensive evidence supporting its success across industries. From my perspective, a hybrid model — with one day per week in the office — strikes an ideal balance. It allows for meaningful in-person collaboration while preserving the efficiency and flexibility that remote work offers. Beyond that, additional office days often lead to diminishing returns, particularly in environments that use hot-desking. The added commute time, crowded public transport, and logistical inefficiencies rarely justify the limited benefit.
The argument that all workers should return to the office simply because frontline staff are required to be onsite is fundamentally flawed. This approach offers no tangible benefit to those workers and instead creates broader challenges: increased congestion, strained transport systems, and a higher environmental cost.
Transportation contributes approximately 17% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and daily commuting is a significant part of that. Requiring physical presence in the office without a compelling business need only amplifies this issue, leading to increased emissions and undermining sustainability goals.
It’s also important to acknowledge how far technology has come. A decade ago, remote work was difficult due to infrastructure limitations. Today, high-speed internet, cloud platforms, and collaborative tools have changed the game. These advancements have made remote work not only possible but often more productive and seamless than traditional office-based models.
Virtual meetings are a good example. They typically start on time, with all participants present and ready. By contrast, in-person meetings often suffer from delays — finding a room, setting up equipment, or waiting for late arrivals — resulting in a noticeable loss of productivity. Even when teams are co-located, many still choose to meet virtually for the efficiency it brings.
Personally, working from home enables me to deliver above and beyond. The time saved on commuting can be reinvested into focused work, extended hours when needed, and a better work-life balance. For parents, it means more time with their children and less reliance on after-school care. For those who still need to commute, fewer people on the roads and public transport means a smoother, quicker journey home to their families.
Labour will be getting my vote. Its disgusting to insinuate people who work from home are lazy. We work extremely hard and those two hours i use to spend travelling to and from the office, im usually putting into work for most days.
People are less inclined to take sick leave when working from home, can attend appointments on lunch breaks rather than taking extended time away from work, save money, spend more time with family.
Plus most businesses employ a hybrid arrangement, not a lot of office jobs are full time work from home.
STOP trying to be Trump mate 🤦♀️
He left his electorate as the cyclone was approaching to attend a party fundraiser in Sydney.
Voldemort will say anything for votes.
