Directed by Mark C. Eshleman for Reel Bear Media

I don’t bother anyone
Nervous when I stand
Choking on the circumstance
Only smoking secondhand
Cut us open, spread us out
Dry us in the sand
Lay the fibers side-by-side
And you’ll begin to understand

I know it’s over
I was born a choker
Nobody’s coming for me.
…coming for me

I don’t bother anyone
Never make demands
Choking on the circumstance
Self-sabotage is a sweet romance
Seems like all I’m worth is what
I’m able to withstand
Sooner I can realize
That pain is just a middle man.

I know it’s over
I was born a choker
Nobody’s coming for me.

I see no volunteers
to co-sign on my fears
I’ll sign on the line

I’m gonna change my circumstance
I know I need to move right now

I know it’s over
I was born a choker
Nobody’s coming for me.
(only smoking secondhand)

Like a little splinter
buried in your skin
Someone else can carve it out
But when you’ve got the pin
It hurts a little less
and you can even push it further in
When your body’s screaming out
Trust your mind’s listening.
Like a silhouette that you can barely see
As the shadow casts upon the ground
where you’ll eventually
lay forever, but the day goes on
the sun moves behind you
You get taller, bolder, stronger,
and the rear-view only blinds you

  1. To me this is a perfect example of my mother purposefully ignoring me being molested by my father. "I know it's over, I was born a choker". And the whole rap when he gets taken away, same like when she was begging me to stay in that house, me not remembering anything, just so she's not the one being molested. The whole song, really.

And "you are loved" at the very beginning, which one that's been thrown away by their own mother, really needs to hear. I've moved out long ago, cut all communication, but still I struggle even admitting to myself that she would do such a thing because I always thought she was a good parent. Extremely good at manipulation, though the comparison with the other parent would make anyone look good.

All I did (listening to her and falling into the traps), I did out of love for her bc she genuinly felt like she was gonna suicide. But that was her bpd, growing up without a father for her, which had nothing to do with me. Instead, I suffered wayyyy beyond what I was supposed to. Far beyond. I guess sometimes you have to make difficult choices. If I had chosen myself, she would be gone, but ultimately it was her choice for being with him in the first place and staying. Ignoring the part of her wanting to suicide just like she was ignoring me. Suppressed the mother in her so bad, she got her uterus taken out bc of disease. Very symbolic in life. Every man for himself first, find people who love you, don't get fooled by criminal's sadness bc its not about you, it's their personality disorder which makes them sad. Judge by one's actions, not by their emotions. Shit.

  2. wanders in with weird math nerd brain
"I see no volunteers to cosine on my fears
I'll sine on the line alone"

  3. Tyler:"no one's coming for me"
    Josh:"you sure about that?"

  5. Noooooo que lindos gustos tengo

  6. I wish I knew you guys a bit better in your personalitys and names. I only know all of you /songs/. Whenever I see comments with your names, I just wish I listened to you guys more in my younger years. Nevermind the names, you guys just keep me going. I want you to keep going too! Have a good time making more songs.

  7. Nostalgia!!! Old Twenty One Pilots sound hit differently! 😭😭 Regional at Best and Vessel vibes🎵🎶🎼

  8. "I don't bother anyone, nervous when i stand" when i am called in class i stand and get nervous

  9. i like this one. its very self-titled vibes.

  10. Every song of twenty one pilots is perfect

  11. nervous when i stand………. pretty much sums it up.

  12. I'm a fan but this song sucks so bad

  13. Tyler said in an Apple Music interview “I come from a basketball background, and choking is: You’re standing at the free-throw line and you need to make one of those two, and if you miss them both, you choked. I think for me, with certain friendships and relationships, there were moments that I could have risen to the occasion and I didn't, and that's something that I'll have to live with. I think that everyone has those moments where they feel like they choked. The song is trying to work that through and trying to figure out if that’s someone that I was born to be. Can I shape this? Is this something I can turn around?”

  14. Josh's mug reads good day dema lol

  15. Si me roban mi changarro también los correteo con una fusca 😾
