A swimming area off the coast of Australia had to be cleared after a two-meter-long reef shark was spotted inside the enclosure, somehow getting trapped within the cordoned off area.

  1. I think it’s nice they made sure not only the people were safe but the shark as well and that it was able to get out safely. As it was, there was probably a hole in the net which could have been the reason the shark got in. Don’t know what species, but it’s better to be cautious and evacuate the area until it was back where it needed to go without having to kill it because it got in where people were. With declining shark populations and their part in balancing the ocean ecosystem they’re important even though there’s few shark attacks compared to the amount of sharks killed each year.
