Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers says elected officials “should have been there” to accompany the King and Queen during their Australian tour.
All six Australian premiers refused to accept an invitation to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla in Canberra.
Mr Myers told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo that it was “quite shocking” for all the state premiers to decline the invitation.
