Shut the mine- look at it- its ruined the landscape and the environment- absolutely disgusting. Everyones always on about climate change and the environment but they create jobs and industry that trashes the place. Create new jobs and industry that are beneficial to peoples health and the health of the environment

Water truck drivers be in a class of their own, having a nap while pretending that to fill up takes hours instead of minutes is my experience, always first and last on the job but when they want to go home magically what took hours is done in seconds.

This is horrendous for the poor residents of Selicks Beach. Dust is a by-product of a work process and MUST be managed for personal and environmental safety. Where's the bloody EPA? OH their official response is that they are "monitoring it"!!! Try even contacting the EPA never lone getting them actively engages to invest a sincere investigation into any "dust relatedcissue". Their usual response some years later is that the EPA has investigated and monitored the dust situation and are unable to determine the exact source of the dust.
We have an IDENTICAL dust problem here in the southern part of Hallett Cove over the last 10 years easily. The idiot Onkaparinga council and the EPA re-licensed The Reynella Biral Quarry to start production again basically in a residential area AND, licensed ReSourceCo to run their reprocessing plant and dirt storage operation at Lonsdale. Both businesses are on the borders of residential living suburbs and we are SWIMMING in dust. The EPA have been TOTALLY USELESS as the dust and airborne DIRT is flooding our homes here. Hallett Cove Beach is a beautiful area but our quality of life has been destroyed by the constant dust issues, causing eye and respiratory irritation, clogged evaporative air conditioning filters, inefficient solar systems, roof and gutters accelerated deterioration being full of MUD, including our rain water tanks full of mud!! The dust on metal surfaces holds moisture causing accelerated rusting and corrosion. The alkalinity of the dust causes etching into car and house glass, and our outdoor living spaces and balconies are unusable due to DIRT just 3 days after cleaning it all. NOT ONE Government department, councils, EPA could care less and despite their investigations have changed, reduced or stopped this dust by-product affecting us. And there is dozens of businesses in the lonsdale industrial precinct that suffer the same from dust being generated and they get no help either. Channel 9 your story on Selkicks Beach residents dust issues was great, now take a look at how dust with all its know detrimental environmental and health affects is totally unmanaged by big business dust generators. They sight dust mitigation processes are being used but look at the quantity of dust plumes still escaping their work sites. 5% controlled dust and 95% uncontrolled dust affecting innocent people. EPA and our Governments are absolutely useless!

Try living in Port Pirie when Northern Winds pick up the products in the pit at the lead smelter.
