After months of speculation, the Prime Minister has officially pulled the starter’s gun.
Anthony Albanese has made his opening pitch to voters saying the May 3 poll is a choice between Labor’s plan to keep building and Peter Dutton’s promise to cut.
He is pinning hopes on a number of key policies including $8.5 billion for Medicare, top-up tax cuts for all Australians, and more cost-of-living relief through energy bill rebates.
But Peter Dutton is hitting the campaign trail asking Australians ‘do they feel better off than three years ago?’
He has promised to rein in wasteful spending that fuels inflation, halve the fuel excise for 12 months, and drive down energy prices through a gas reservation policy.
