  1. Too many commercials but thanks for keeping this alive.

  2. Anne Baxter was only 23 but Paul Muni was 50. I never found him attractive. Too simian and short. But a good actor with several Oscar nominations and one win.

  3. Wonderful movie but I dident see the comedy or the fantasy in it. God bless

  4. Nice movie, thanks for the upload! Although, I expected for him to go to heaven at the end. Maybe a trustee in hell is equally good! haha

  5. I love this movie. The actors are believable.I have watched it many times, and love that good wins over evil.

  6. Joining yourself with a wicked person in a relationship ( marriage), the Bible calls it “ unequally yoked” is a terrible thing . Many have found this out too late. Great deep insights in this film. Parker was saving her in the spiritual realm of her life..

  7. Impressive use of special effects for 1946 & I don't recall Claude Rains in a comedy role before – The Invisible Man, Lawrence of Arabia, Casablanca were "serious" parts. Truly enjoyed this beautiful little jewel of a film. Thanks for the post!

  8. Watch Paul Muni in Bordertown, excellent movie

  9. I do not recall ever seeing Paul Muni before, and I'm so glad I did, now. He was excellent! Claude Rains and Anne Baxter were as great as I expected them to be.

  10. Claud Rains was an excellent actor I've seen so many films featuring himself everyone of them brilliant ,he made another film 5yrs before this one in 1941 called " Here comes Mr.Jordan" it's theme is similar to this film ,I won't say anymore to spoil it ,but do check it out you'll enjoy it. I'm sure

  11. Thank you for this marvelous film

  12. That was a interesting story! I felt sorry for the guy. He had a chance to be happy, but he was possessing someone else's body! What a problematic situation!

  13. What an original story – and funny to boot! But also with some "religious" undertones that it doesn't pay to be bad/evil. Paul Muni and Claude Rains are absolutely fantastic in their roles. Great entertainment! Thank you for posting.

  14. Paul Muni, Claude Rains, what great actors … stunning voices

  15. Please add English subtitles

  16. A marvellous film, with an uncompromising ending. Thank you.

  17. What a wonderful film; great performances, solid writing. I'll enjoy watching this repeatedly.

  18. This is an enjoyable film, destroyed by ads every four mins.

  19. excellent in every way. I can see why Al Pacino thought Paul Muni was a very good actor. Al did do scar face as well as Paul and Al did the devils advocate which had a resemblance to this movie only Al played the devil.

  20. Thank you so much for this delightful movie 🍿
It is a real gem 💎

  21. This was a fine film!
A later version was made for TV, starring Peter Strauss, Barbara Hershey, and Richard Kiley.
    Worth looking for.
