Sky News host Chris Kenny discusses Australia’s widening social cohesion as divisive “manipulation of the facts” continues to promote “particular” viewpoints as an influencer claims Muslims landed before colonisers.
“We have spoken a lot about social cohesion and, the lack of it in this country. The antisemitism of the past 18 months has been traumatic and unprecedented, and for the year or so before that, the ugliness of the Voice referendum divided the country,” Mr Kenny said.
“Indigenous issues continue to be used as political weapons on university campuses where indoctrination is replacing the contest of ideas and underlying all of this are ongoing debates about our Indigenous heritage, our history of colonisation and our multicultural society.”
Mr Kenny discussed an Australian Muslim influencer Sabrina Allam, claiming Muslims landed in the country before white colonisation.
