  1. Just your usual heavy rainfall event here in Brisbane. My farts produce larger winds. Should never trust the media or BOM for this overhyped fear mongering and click bait.

  2. Thank you, God, for protecting us and watching over us. We are truly grateful for your guidance and strength. Your presence gives us comfort and assurance as we navigate through difficult times. We appreciate your unwavering support and love, which shields us from harm. Thank you for always being our refuge and source of hope."

  3. For those of you stating this was a non event, you weren't in Redland Bay where there are 2,000 of us with no homes as our homes have trees inside them and are flooded ( I'm one of them ).

About the floods> When that wall of water comes, so many will be blindsided. The water wall that hit our house in 1974 came down stream from the Brisbane River so fast, no one got out with anything but the shirts on our backs, 20 people died and within 12 hours our high set little Queenslander was under 6 metres of water. But what makes this coming flood worse than 1974 and 2011, is the rainfall this time higher, more frequent and and will be flushed back into low lying areas by high tides and surf. Also back then there was only 900,000 of us and now there's 3.5 million at risk, with high density housing, more storm water and more homes built in the catchment, so this makes this the worst flood event. I can tell you naysayers now criticizing the Premier that those of us that survived 1974 are not hanging around for this. I never left in 2011 or 22, but this time ? 10 days ago when I saw that rain plume on the map, I thought this is bad. I have told new people in the areas to get flood ready, bu they aren't interested. Boats couldn't rescue people because the water was traveling so fats and there was trees, cars and houses floating past at high speeds. Think before you criticize what we are going through and wait until Tuesday March 11, to post your opinion that this flood coming is a joke, thank you Premier for constantly updating us so we can plan. We weren't given that respect in 1974 when 20 drowned in the streets trying to escape. God bless
