Its not free camping anymore is it when its controlled by the government like that, they have sold all the cheap community camping ground to Reflections caravan parks and they cant keep their hands off whats left. For generations Australians figured out the free camping situation amongst themselves and we survived but now we need government interference in everything its wrecked this country 😔
I’m from the government and I’m here to help…they can’t get anything right. Anything…let me reiterate. Anything
I feel bad for the reporter who had to drive all the way down to Wilson’s prom to tell the story, when he could have simply driven up the road to Parliament House to speak on the root cause of the problem.
It's always the stick and no carrot with Australian government and I live here!
…. did the people camping there ghost book them in order to keep the crowds small? Because that would be kinda genius.
And now South Australia is packed full of Victorian registration Caravans. Adelaide can't accommodate for an entire other state.
You Victoria councils truely are loving screwing with your people. Today I swear there were at least over 100 caravans driving past my place from Victoria. My house is on the main Rd.
Probably no toilet 🚽🪠
People should be free to camp anywhere as long as nobody else owns the land and they clean up their mess and leave it as they found it or cleaner
Give them 2 hours to show up then move through the wait list. The unreliable people booking the camps are the problem.
Perhaps a deposit so the camping can remain free with incentive to turn up or give the site to another family
How about scrap any booking system and return to first in, first served.
It was the same at a Bear Gully in March. Booked out online and lucky if there were 10 camps set up.
