  1. Omg this poor family. I’m so sorry that this happened to them & I hope they find somewhere to stay. Thankfully they are all alive, so scary. If there is anything we can do please let us all know. Sending this family lots of love & healing. I know exactly how they feel. That 2023 Christmas tornado we had, wiped out my new home in the matter of minutes. We had only just moved into it a couple of months or so before it hit, whole house destroyed. My son & I were just in my bedroom as he was helping me, using his torch on his phone as we had lost power. I looked out the window saw the huge amount of lightning then felt wind hit that side of my house. I had a bad gut feeling. I took one look at my son & said we need to get out, my son said why I said get out get out I pushed my son out of my bedroom to save him first. I shut the door behind me, we took 8 steps then all we hear is a huge amount of smashing & blasting wind through my bedroom. It threw a huge gumtree straight through my bedroom & ceiling. My roof was on my bed & floor. We are still living in a portable home on the property as our house is nearly finished being fixed. I was so scared my house was going to get damaged again. They had clocked the wind speed at 175kms an hour that had torn through our yard & house. Now we have 5 acres in Jimboomba & you couldn’t see any of it, there were trees down everywhere in our yard. I’ve never seen anything like that before. Stay safe guys.

  2. Down grade what a joke the media is, why should theses weather people get payed, time & time again they get it wrong, anyone else that stuffs up there job like them would lose their jobs.

  3. in Cairns we get these kind of things every year, often several times a year, sometimes supermarkets' shelves remain empty for up to two weeks and nobody talks about it and we don't even get the army to help. Cry me a river, bloody catastrophists and scaremongers
