The Australian military is monitoring three vessels from China’s People’s Liberation army navy which have been sailing to the east of the country for some days. The ships, including a frigate, cruiser and replenishment vessel, are east of Sydney, and within Australia’s Exclusive Economic Zone, which is the area extending 200 nautical miles from the coast. East Asia correspondent Kathleen Calderwood joined the program with an update on the ship sightings.
