The foam, which stretches along hundreds of metres of Waitpinga beach near the town of Victor Harbor, has prompted a government investigation.
It’s caused flu-like symptoms, wheezing, coughing and eye and skin irritation in humans.
It’s also killed a large number of fish, weedy seadragons, octopus and other marine life.
