  4. Unknown soldier. Finnish production. Best war movie from the nordics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTYesNj_sBg

  5. The Dogs of War, an oldie, but a goodie. Christopher walken.

  6. The Bridge (German); Hedd Wynn (Welsh); Schlacht am Finnland (German/Finnish).

  7. "Hyena Road" is another underrated and great war movie….made by the same great Canadian, Paul Gross, who made "Passchendaele"…which is the best WW-I movie ever made. By far.

  8. I agree that they all look like pretty decent watches…BUT…you missed what I think is THE most underrated war movie ever….and one in which not a SINGLE shot is fired from a weapon…."Kilo Two Bravo"….The true story of a British unit in Afghanistan that accidentally found themselves in the middle of a minefield. The "pucker factor" in this flick is 10/10 and you NEVER see an enemy combatant. I think it is probably the most stressful movie about war I have ever seen. The frustration and horror are palpable. Incredible acting and cinematography. Do yourself a favour and check it out. Worth the time.

  9. Generation War is not a movie tho, it is a mini series.

  10. 13 Hours was great. It should have done yet better at the box office but it was successfully torpedoed for political reasons.

  11. 0:30 Beasts of No Nation

    1:13 Anthropid

    2:08 Generation War

    3:29 Siege of Jadotville

    4:56 '71

    6:02 Max Manus

    7:40 The Wall

    8:55 13 Hours

    You are welcome 🙂

  12. "The Great Raid" … true story of the rescue of over 500 POWs from a Japanese camp in the Philippines in 1945. An excellent movie that went virtually unnoticed.

  13. Here are some recommendations that people overlook
The siege on fire base Gloria
    One angry shot
    Platoon leader
    The Memphis Belle
    The long walk home

    Just a few suggestions
    Paschendale

  14. If you haven't seen " beasts of no nation" just be advised it is a brutally honest look at Africas civil war. It is a definite must see. I went back and watched it again after a few years. I had fortunately forgotten about a specific troubling scene. I can handle the tun of the mill violence but this scene im particular got to me. If I had remember that scene I wouldn't have watched it again

  15. Unfortunately, genocidal thermonuclear WWIII is not too far away. Please follow the latest news at "Countdown World News" page of RKK Book website.
